The foundation of decree is releasing the Kingdom on Earth.
A key part of our strategy and dominion mandate as a church is to raise up self-governing and supernatural sons.
Then God said, Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness, so that they may rule over the fish in the sea and the birds in the sky over the livestock and all the wild animals and over all the creatures that move along the ground. Genesis 1:26
Our voices play a huge part in releasing Heaven to Earth. The spoken word carries tremendous power!
Luke 10:9: “tell them” = to say or to speak out, to command.
Luke 11:2: “When you pray say, ‘Your Kingdom come.'” Our prayers can also be decrees.
Very seldom do we see demonstrations of the Kingdom without the spoken word.
There obviously are exceptions; acts of love and caring can be done without speaking.
1. Sickness – Luke 18:42: Jesus said, “Receive your sight” and the person was healed immediately.
2. Demons – Mark 1:25: Come out of him.
3. Death – John 11:43: Lazarus come out.
4. Nature – Mark 4:39: Quiet. Be still! Jesus took authority over the wind and the waves.
Notice that Jesus never prayed long prayers, or even prayed for the sick. He tended to make very short decrees. He knew who He was and who was backing Him!!
Rom 10:8-10: Faith is released not just with belief in the heart, but confession with the mouth!
2 Cor 4:13: “It is written: ‘I believed; therefore I have spoken.’ Since we have that same spirit of faith, we also believe and therefore speak . . .”
Matt 8:5-13: . . . just say the word . . . The person that Jesus recognised as having the most faith was not an Israelite. He was a soldier that represented a kingdom.
We’re not talking about selfish requests, like “red Ferrari,” or the excesses of the faith movement. The foundation of decree is releasing the Kingdom on Earth.
John 6:63: The example of Jesus; the words He spoke were Spirit and life.
Rev 1:10: Our decrees have to be “in the Spirit.” Like John on Patmos.
Ps 68:11: The word came from heaven and was released on Earth by a company, thereby aligning with what Heaven was saying and releasing it on Earth.
One of the shifts taking place in the church is from gathering to governing. And one of the ways we govern is through decree / proclamation – the church decreeing over the city and nation. In I Thes 1:8, it says that he Lord’s message rang out to surrounding nations.
Words spoken over Horizon:
* We are called to be a voice to the city and the nation.
* This is a house of decree.
* Great dominion authority is coming upon this church.
* We are called to be Gen 28, a gate of Heaven to the city and nation.
Unity is critical to how effective our voice is into the city and nation.
Ps 133: “How good and pleasant it is when God’s people live together in unity! It is like precious oil poured on the head, running down on the beard, running down on Aaron’s beard, down on the collar of his robe. It is as if the dew of Hermon were falling on Mount Zion. For there the Lord bestows his blessing, even life forevermore.”
Eph 4:3: “Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.”
Mt 18:19: “If two of you on Earth agree it shall be done”
The Greek word for “agree” is “Sumphoneo” symphony, to be harmonious, to be in accord.
Imagine a harmonious chord on a guitar. We don’t have to be singing the same song/doctrine, but we do need to be in the same key!
1. The Kingdom is mostly voice activated.
2. Be in the Spirit.
3. Joint/Corporate decrees carry tremendous power.
